May I take this opportunity to wish everyone a very happy New Year 2012.  I hope it brings with it health and success for everyone.

The dawn of a new year promises a great deal for The Community Science College and I hope I can count on the support of all students and parents to make sure we move forward to achieve the very best for the whole of the community.

In the coming weeks, the Governors will make a decision as to whether to convert the College into an Academy.  I have written to all parents last term, as well as others with a stake in the college, to inform them of the impact of any change in our status. Parents and others also still have until the end of this week (6th January) to submit their views to the Governing Body prior to their decision to accept the Government’s funding agreement.

Becoming an Academy will bring with it significant freedoms for CSC@T, and I am hopeful the Governors will agree to a change of status in order to bolster and enhance our recent successes and bring about the developments we need in college.

I would urge you to submit your views before the deadline, for the attention of the Chair of Governors, so they can be taken into account in any decision.

Please rest assured that the Governors will not make any decision which would be in any way detrimental to the future success of the college.
Kind regards
